JetBlue Is Adding Cuba Charter Flight
JetBlue has announced that it will be partnering with ABC Charters and will be offering Tampa, Florida to Havana, Cuba charter flights on Fridays, beginning June 5, 2015.
This weekly flight makes JetBlue number one in flights to Cuba from Tampa and is one of the first charter service expansions since travel restrictions were eased to the island nation in January. This added travel option is good news for those wanting to visit family in Cuba.
The 150 leather-seated Airbus A320 is the aircraft of choice for JetBlue’s Cuba flights and is known for it’s ample legroom and large overhead bins, plus seatback entertainment. Travelers to Cuba will be able to fly in a roomy and comfortable aircraft.
JetBlue began flying Cuban charters in 2011, and currently operates three weekly trips: Tampa to Havana on Tuesdays, Tampa to Santa Clara on Wednesdays, and Fort Lauderdale to Havana on Fridays.
JetBlue believes that Cuba will one day play an important role in their overall Caribbean network, a region where customer response has already helped them grow into the leading U.S. airline. They feel that by expanding their charter program today, it will reflect the thoughtful approach they are taking to include Cuba over the long-term.
If you are interested in taking one of these charter flights to Cuba, we will be happy to assist you in booking that for you.
