Western Caribbean Cruise

On February 26 – March 8, 2017, we boarded the COSTA Deliziosa in Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Costa cruise lines are very European and the Deliziosa reflected that.  They are primarily in the Mediterranean and only here in the states a few months out of the year.  The decor was beautiful and the food was a real culinary delight. One of my favorites was the grilled octopus!  Our 10 day adventure took us to the ports of Nassau, Bahamas – Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Honduras – Amber Cove, Ocho Rios, Jamaica – Cozumel, Mexico – George Town, Grand Cayman.  

We not only enjoyed all of the ports but also the experience of traveling with people from so many cultures.  All of the announcements, food menus and entertainment MC were done in 5 languages.  It was fun to interact and try to communicate with everyone.  I would say the majority of folks were Italian.

The Deliziosa had the most extensive spa I have ever seen or experienced on any cruise ship.  It was amazing and my bamboo massage was beyond amazing!!

We loved this cruise and we’re definitely planning on cruising the Mediterranean in 2018 with COSTA.
